Our goal at Under the Stars is to increase access to kai and support services for the homeless and in need, within a compassionate and judgment free environment.
Each week we feed 100+ guests at our base 45 Cliff Road, Tauranga City.
Sit-down service starts 12pm Thursdays and 5pm Saturdays, with take-away meals available from 12:30 and 5:30 on these days.
Hot showers, clean towels and toiletries are also available at the hall from 10;15am-12.45pm Thursdays and 3.15pm- 5.45pm Saturdays
HOW YOU CAN HELP
There is a lot that needs to happen to provide food, showers hot drinks, and essentials every week and we simply can not do it without volunteers, donations and the generosity of local business.
Volunteer your time
It takes a lot of hands to serve two meals a week and not all of them need to be in the kitchen or during our service times. There are roles to suit everyone and any schedule, so if you have time once a month, we would love you to join us.
Donate
Running two meals a week comes with real costs, and without monetary donations or items to keep our shelves stocked. Every contribution - no matter the size - is needed. If you are able to help, we would love to hear from you.
Corporate Volunteering
Our kitchen is small and our team even smaller, so the generosity of local businesses is greatly appreciated. There are two main ways that you can help as a corporate - a bulk cooking single event or donations, either monetary or items.
